Some cars deserve a better life!
Our favorite part of resurrecting old cars is watching the glow of those happy drivers leaving into the sunset. Maintenance will bring them back and we are more than glowing upon their return, it’s when it really sinks in!
New life for a VW bus
This beauty has been the shop owner’s main stay for most of his life! The bus was found in a surrounding neighborhood while riding off-road on his dirt bike (he fixed those too!). At 14 years of age Chris had already been well decided on his love of the Air-cooled, well enough, that pursuing this land beached Bus was without hesitation!
From a Bus that had been beached on the side of a house for 14 years, to on the road since, solid work shows over a million miles under his ownership! Original goals for owning a shop were to build Buses for his friends to join in on the fun, & they did!
30 years later and this Bus is still going! So many original repairs are still in place, other pieces(like the engine) have been rebuild several of times. By now, no bolt, no screw has been left untouched!
Add to the fun, which this vehicle is all about, main component that Chris says has helped the bus last through endless headaches, is the Disco ball! Never to stop there, he has a small fortune in the ongoing of this Bus. Fun things you say? Try black light, chili pepper lights, disco ball (yes, with spinner!), led under dash lights (added door switches to make them glow), too huge of a stereo, Led ground effects used as turn signals, highly modified suspension (all of the best components), custom transmission (to crawl SF hills), highly modified engine (2.2l), beyond modern headlights, and too keep it all going a custom cruise control! Here’s what you couldn’t expect, this Bus goes 100mph! Granted that’s too much, but fun for a spell, cruises well (one finger on the wheel) at 75-80!
Come by the shop and see this relic (or maybe you’ve seen it pass you by ;)) It’s just what we do!

Restored GTV
This Gtv had spent more time in the last two decades staring at a wall. Mind you, that’s not right! Once again, a full Church resurrection was called upon! The bones are good, the limbs not. Well, they hadn’t been used in quite a while!
New shoes were in order and we called upon Michelin to supply them. Each brake component rebuilt and hoses replaced. Transmission and differential fluid, aged rubber, and a battery. Not quite that simple but a great start to a great ongoing! The engine didn’t mind the slumber and came back with a rebuild of the fuel system and a few new injectors. Electrics needed a touching, a thing here and something there…. She’s back on the road for another few decades! Take care! Don’t forget to take your vitamins! This baby is on the road and we are excited to see it about town in San Francisco!
It’s just what we do!
